BLEH! Dreadful service and bland food. On top of that the atmosphere is a joke. I had a platter of General Tso's chicken that was over cooked to the point of being bubble gum. My daughter had vegetable lo mein that looked like it was cooked 3 days prior. My experience here reinforces my belief that Glenside is a culinary waste land.

Such high hopes... People at work were hankering for sushi at lunch, which is a tall order in Jenkintown. We decided to make the drive over to Queen Sushi in Glenside. They offer Chinese and Japanese. That should have been a tip off, but it wasn't for me. The place isn't a dump or anything. It's clean, well maintained and decently lit.I got a spicy tuna roll and a salmon crunch roll. They have lunch specials that are under $11. It just wasn't that good. The texture was weird and the rice rice wasn't sticky sushi rice. No one else in the group liked the rolls they got either. My more melodramatic friend is concerned he has food poisoning. Maybe they are just a better Chinese place. The egg roll I got was the best thing there.

I go to school nearby, and Queen Sushi (This is what the name is on the building and menus, I'm not sure why its different on the Yelp page) is a staple. It seems as though most of the locals order sushi when here. I've gotten sushi on numerous occasions and it is always fresh and delicious. They have all you can eat sushi on Tuesdays for $20; that's something you don't want to miss. Their Miso soup is also very good, as well as their steamed pork dumplings. Portion size is pretty generous. The space is pretty small, and usually if there's a show at the Keswick theater, expect service to be slow and limited seating. The owners know my friends and I since we eat there so often and order out, and are always generous to us.

I mainly order takeout for this. Their Steamed Pork Dumplings are the BEST. I dunno how they make the soy sauce, but it tastes really, really good with the dumplings. The dumplings also have a lot of meat in them, so I love them :). I would say their specialty is their dumplings (they're even featured in news articles that are hanging on their walls, talking about their special dumplings).I also order their Chicken Mei Fun (rice noodles), which are pretty good, and generously portioned. Their BBQ fried rice was also a nice addition to a meal (not too oily or salty, unlike a lot of Chinese restaurants). I always order their milk tea (according to the receipt, Black Tea with Milk). It's sweet and very pleasant. As for parking, there are lots of spaces in the back, so long as there's no really popular show playing at the Keswick Theater at the time.
